Biden's New Drone Strike Policy is a Big Deal
Updated: Nov 11, 2021

Azimuth Advisor Charli Carpenter was interviewed by World Politics Review on March 11, 2021 about the Biden administration's new decision to change the Trump drone doctrine.
President Joe Biden is "moving the barometer back to where it was before Trump devolved authority for drone strikes away from the executive branch and into the hands of commanders," Carter explained.
As a result, Carpenter argued, "There’s going to be a much higher level of oversight and much more concern over the legal nuances of each strike."
